The Writer

Welcome!

I created The Reporter and The Girl blog to journey among life’s most uncertain and abysmal path when forming love-lust-hate relationships.

I’m in my mid–twenties and have moved back to New York City after 6 years of term papers, tailgate parties, and three day weekends, on all 4 corners of the United States and abroad. Now that I am semi-permanently stationed in the Empire State and in my white-collar/blue jeans career; I thought that I could venture out and make a romantic connection.

Breaking News!!!

I met someone that I was instantly and deeply attracted to; not just his body, but I thought he was very smart, unique, and had great passion for things he did.  He is also ardent and well versed in his interests, WHO WOULDN’T LOVE A GUY LIKE THAT? He works as a reporter in the city, and though has suburban roots; the reporter seems to enjoy the eclectic, diverse, and fast paced lifestyle as a New Yorker.

There are no heroes, villains, or love triangles in this story.  He wasn’t a mild-mannered Clark Kent, and definitely did not have the strength of a hundred men, but he still managed to lift and carry me away to another planet.  This is where we box-stepped (because he couldn’t tango) around each other while keeping our eyes on a coveted prize.

He stole my heart, and now my experience has taught me a lot about what it means to trip head-over-heels. This is a piece of my life that is published in real time and laid out in chapters as our relationship grew and progressed. I’d love to hear some of your experiences and comments and hope that you enjoy reading my own.

**Names in the story has been changed to protect the privacy of the individuals and any similarities to actual persons, either living or dead, are merely coincidental.**

Thanks for reading!

Well, he doesn’t know. Actually he has an idea about it, but he doesn’t know the full extent (FB page, twitter, close to 30,000 hits) and as long as I change his name, he may not find out! Thanks for stopping by!

      Hi Being Mum,

Well, I like your concept on chivalry, as well as it placed some agency on women..alot has changed since the 60′s as chivalry is going the way of courtship….Oy!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope we see each other soon!

      Hi Christopher,

I had an artist who did the first two chapters artwork for me, but unfortunately he could no longer stay with us. If you want his info you can email me. Otherwise, thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for liking our Daily OOMPH! That is how I discovered your blog and subscribed. A couple of years ago, my 28 year old son broke up with a wonderful girl who is living in NYC. You tell the story in a way that makes me feel that you are already my friend. Keep talking to us! … Aggie
